The BIRKENSTOCK Arizona is a genuine classic that has been delighting both men and women with its timeless design for decades. The Big Buckle version features a large, elegant pin buckle – a fantastic, striking eye-catcher on this otherwise understated sandal. The lining of the semi-exquisite footbed is covered with soft smooth leather and matches the shoe in color. The upper is made from extra thick, oiled nubuck leather with an open-selvage finish.
The leather uppers have been finished with a coating of oil that allows for a more distressed look, and rich color variation. It is normal for oiled leather uppers to display superficial scuffs or what can look like scratches. These markings, though intentional, will self-neutralize as the leather flexes and bends with wear. You can also try rubbing them with your finger as your natural body heat can help redistribute the oiled coating of the leather. If you prefer a more uniform look where the straps are all the same color, we suggest a suede leather, smooth leather or one of the synthetic materials such as Birkibuc or Birko-Flor.
